A Different Kind of Psychiatry

Rooted in Expertise, Guided by Experience

Most of my clients come to me feeling like something is off—even if everything on paper looks fine. They’ve been pushing through for so long that exhaustion feels normal. Some have put off seeking help, unsure if their symptoms were “bad enough” to deserve support. Others have felt dismissed, rushed, or handed one-size-fits-all solutions that never quite fit. They’re smart, resourceful women who are used to managing a lot—and still searching for real answers.

I get it—because I’ve lived it, too.

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner with advanced clinical training, years of academic teaching experience, and a personal history of navigating ADHD, anxiety, and burnout, I bring both deep expertise and lived understanding to this work.

I believe in getting the diagnosis right—because when we truly understand the root cause, we can intervene with precision, clarity, and care. My goal is always to use the least amount of intervention necessary to make the greatest impact. For many of my clients, that means integrating supplements, therapy, and lifestyle changes as cornerstones of care—alongside medication when needed. This is thoughtful, personalized psychiatry built for long-term healing—not just symptom control.

Beyond the Prescription Pad

Because sometimes medication helps—and sometimes the answer runs deeper.
Here are a few of the tools I use to support healing in a way that’s thoughtful, whole-person, and uniquely you.

Psychiatric Evaluation

A 75-minute, root-cause-focused assessment designed to understand your full story—not just your symptoms. We’ll explore emotional, biological, and lifestyle factors to create a personalized plan that feels clear, validating, and actionable.

Root Cause Lab Testing

Lab work helps uncover hidden contributors to mental health—like nutrient deficiencies, inflammation, or hormonal imbalances—so we can treat the root, not just the symptoms.

genetic testing_edited_edited.jpg

Genetic Testing

Pharmacogenomic testing helps us understand how your body processes medication—so we can reduce trial and error and choose the right treatment, faster.

Medication Management

Thoughtful, personalized prescribing that prioritizes safety, simplicity, and what actually works for you—without overmedicating.

supplements and neutraceuticals_edited.jpg

Supplements + Nutraceuticals

Targeted, evidence-based nutrients that support mood, focus, and brain health—especially when you want options beyond prescriptions.

I integrate tools from CBT, ACT, MI, and mindfulness to help you navigate thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with more clarity and self-compassion.

Deprescribing

Sometimes the most powerful change is less. I help you safely reduce or stop medications that are no longer needed or helping.

Clarity. Confidence. A Deeper Understanding Of You.

Healing shouldn’t feel like guesswork—or like you’re being rushed through a 15-minute checklist. My approach is structured, compassionate, and designed to help you understand what’s really going on—so we can treat the root, not just the symptoms.

Step 1: Comprehensive Discovery
We begin with a 75-minute deep dive into your symptoms, history, and lifestyle. This includes advanced lab testing, genetic screening (if appropriate), and an exploration of medical, emotional, and environmental factors. It’s a collaborative conversation—judgment-free and focused on understanding you as a whole person.

Step 2: Root Cause Insights + Education
We’ll connect the dots between your biology, your lived experiences, and your current symptoms. You'll receive science-backed explanations, psychoeducation, and clear next steps—so you can feel empowered, not overwhelmed.

Step 3: Personalized, Integrative Treatment Plan
Your care plan is tailored to your values and goals. We’ll combine the best of modern psychiatry with lifestyle medicine, supplements, therapy, and more—building a flexible roadmap that grows with you.

Step 4: Ongoing Support + Optimization
Healing takes time—and you're not meant to do it alone. Through regular follow-ups, we’ll track your progress, adjust your plan, and eventually scale back interventions as your stability strengthens. Whether you need weekly support or periodic check-ins, I’ll be in your corner.
